Ireland under-15s lose high-scoring affair to hosts Czech Republic - ExtraTime. comDave Donnelly Sun, Apr 23 2017 The Republic of Ireland under-15s fell to a 4-2 defeat to hosts Czech Republic in their final game of the triangular invitation tournament in Brozany nad Ohri on Thursday. Jason Donoghue's side had beaten Norway 4-1 in their opening encounter on Tuesday but came up against a Czech side who'd had two days extra rest after their opener on Sunday. The Czechs took the lead with just ten minutes played when an initial shot from the Czech winger hit the crossbar and Pavel Hural was on hand to head into an empty net. And the home side made it 2-0 three minutes later when patient build-up opened up a chance for Javier Neruda, who smashed the ball home from just inside the six-yard box.
